The Calgary Web Design Network began as a small freelance
design firm in 2003
(Moyer Media Solutions) owned and operated by now CWDN Creative
Director Jeff Moyer. MMS was originally created to meet the growing
needs of Calgary’s small business market and the demand for
affordable web solutions.
MMS eventually expanded in late 2007 in order to offer
a wider range of services & skills suitable to both small and
large scale business. We have since been joined by several other
freelance web developers and affiliate web companies to form what
is known today as The Calgary Web Design Network.
The premise of the CWDN was to combine the talents
of several experienced independent contractors throughout the city
in order to reduce costs and basic overhead expenses. This would
allow us to offer our clients the range of services comparable to
a large scale design firm at a cost that is reasonable to smaller
companies and self-employed entrepreneurs.
Still going strong the CWDN continues to grow and
now serves clients throughout Western Canada and various parts of
the Untied Sates. Our website is viewed regularly by over 50 countries
around the world and we are recognized on an international platform
by our users.

To build a website from start to finish the Calgary
Web Design Network goes through the following steps & procedures…
1. Research Phase:
Gathering information about your industry and product by researching
your competitor’s websites and other available online information.
2. Planning Phase:
Creating a virtual blueprint of what you website will do; how it
will look, and how it will navigate along with what special features
will be included.
3. Material Gathering Phase:
All text, pictures, and files needed to build the website are gathered
in their entirety or as is available.
4. Draft Phase: After
a plan is put in place a draft or mockup is then created serving
as the home page or initial design of the website.
5. Development Phase:
The actual HTML version of the website is built in its entirety
including all sub-categories and additional content.
6. Testing & Approval Phase:
After the website is complete it is tested for bugs &
errors and must be approved and finalized by our client.

The Calgary Web Design Network offers several flexible
payment options when purchasing a website. Please ask a CWDN about
our available payment plans which are tailor made to you and your
preference.

The Calgary Web Design Network operates under the
following legal terms & policies regarding our work. Our clients
are asked to read and be aware of such policies before any website
project can begin.
• We require a minimum deposit of 20% before
any project is started and payment in full upon completion. Failure
to pay according to the set agreeing (agreed upon by both parties)
will result in a client’s website being taken temporarily
offline.
• Clients are required to provide us all content they will
be supplying including text, pictures and files within a reasonable
timeframe agreed upon by both parties. Failure to provide all necessary
content may result in project delays and additional charges.
• Legal ownership of all graphics and images creating by the
Calgary Web Design Network are considered the legal property of
our client once final payment has been received. We reserve the
right however to use any materials created by our firm for any promotional
purposes without the authorization of our client.
• The Calgary Web Design Network is not responsible for any
financial gain or loss once a website has been completed.
• Though our websites are tested for quality and performance
we hold no responsibility for any computer errors, glitches, or
malfunctions a client may claim is the result of their website.
• We operate under the assumption that any materials supplied
to us by our client are their legal property. We hold no liability
for any copyright or legal issues that may result in a client’s
failure to comply with this rule.
• In order to complete a client’s website we ask that
any materials being supplied to us (text, pictures, files ect.)
in a timely manner. Failure to produce all necessary materials within
the agreed timeframe may result in project delays and additional
charges.
• We reserve the right to terminate any partnership or agreement
with an existing client if their conduct proves to be abusive, offensive
or morally inappropriate.
