questions we get from new clients or inquiries in regards to our

How much does a website
normally cost?
There is no set cost for a website
as it is determined by a variety of factors such as how many pages
you need, what special features your website require (ex. password
login, flash animation, SEO services ect.). The best way to find
out is to get a free quote
where you can let us know the details we need. If you have a set
budget in mind we will let you know your best options for the
price range you are looking for.
Again this varies based on the
size and scope of the project. For more basic websites we like
to set a general timeframe of 6-8 weeks but it can take less or
more time depending on your needs. We will set a timeline with
our clients prior to starting a project so they know the expected
finish date in advance.
We charge a fixed rate for our
website services until the project is completed. If a client requires
additional updating services this is then done at an hourly rate.
All prices will be discussed and agreed upo by both us and our
client prioer to the project starting.
Our typical procedure is to charge
a 30% down payment with the remainder given after the project's
completion. If a different payment arrangement however is preferred
we will work with our clients to create a payment schedule that
works best for them.
Am I able to update a
website myself once complete?
We do offer several options that
will allow a client to update many parts of their website independently.
Websites a client can update typically cost more however then
regular websites. If you are looking to make any major graphical
changes to an existing website this will likley require the help
of an expereinced web developer.
Do you offer web hosting
and/or domain name registration?
Yes we offer both of these services
through our company. Clients often find it easier to let us deal
with the registration and setup of these services which we can
do quickly any affordably.
Can you help me setup
company emails through my website?
Yes, if you purchase website
hosting for our company you will also be able to setup your own
emails using the domain name you have chosen (ex. myemail@calgarywebdesign.ca).
If needed we can setup your email accounts for you as well.
Can you get my website
on the first page of Google? How long does this take?
Yes we have helped many companies
get there website on the first page of Google for their desired
keywords or phrases. SEO services are any additional service typically
charged monthly unless included in the original website agreement.
Getting your desired ranking will vary based on the competition
involved and will range from 2-6 months.
Do you typically sign
a contract before starting a website?
For smaller websites we have
a standard project agreement form that outlines the major details
of the project as agreed upon by oth parties. For more complex
projects a large contract is often provided which is signed off
in advance by both parties.
What quality assurance
do you offer to make sure I get the results I am looking for with
your company?
Prior to beginiing any website
project we will have a consulation process with our clients going
over all aspects of the job as well as what is exspected and to
be delivered upon job completiong. There will be a written agreement
or project management form for smaller clients and contracts for
larger scale contracts for the protection of both parties.
